So, you are looking for the best pizza in Westlake? You have come to the right place.
I have tried every pizza shop in Westlake more than once and am here to give you my honest breakdown.
Chains had a hard time making this list, but one chain did. Papa John’s and Hungry Howies thankfully did not. I’d be embarrassed for Westlake if they did.
Let’s get to the places that actually made the list.
#7 Pizza By Robert
Don’t believe what you read on the Westlake Community Page on Facebook. Pizza By Robert is not the best pizza place in Westlake.
It is a family owned pizza shop on Detroit Road over by Bradley in Savanah Commons.
They offer a wide variety of items including subs, salads, calzones, and a wide variety of pizzas and specialty pizzas.
Some of their unique specialty pizzas include the Primavera Pizza, which features chicken alfredo sauce, red and yellow bell peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, and fresh mushrooms. Then there is also the Seafood Pizza, which has Lobster cream sauce, shrimp, crabmeat, fresh spinach, and provolone cheese.
I haven’t had any of their specialty pizzas, but I have had a couple of pepperoni pizzas from them, and they were pretty average.
Their rating on Yelp is currently a 3.8, which sounds about right.
It’s worth noting that they don’t have a dedicated website. However, you can order through ordertoast.com, which has their entire menu.

#6 3 Palms
Three Palms moved into Crocker Part a few years ago down by where American Greetings is.
The prices they offer are on the higher side but that’s not really their fault since the rent at Crocker park is insane.
I have been there a couple of times since they opened. It is a decent place with a pretty nice atmosphere.
Their menu features appetizers, salads, specialty pizzas and entrees.
Some of their notable specialty pizzas include the Polpettina, which has sliced meatballs. The Carne Supreme is loaded with meat, including pepperoni, sausage, salami, and more. The Margherita pizza is also a classic choice.
All of their pizzas are baked in wood-fired ovens for an upscale feel and taste.
We tried the Polpettina with the sliced meatballs and just a regular cheese pizza when were there. Both were ok. Not worthy of the top of this list but they weren’t dog food either.

#5 Hail Mary’s
Hail Mary’s is more known for their drinks and atmosphere than their pizza but they do have some decent pies you can chow on while tossing back a few brewskis.
Hail Mary’s is a bar and restaurant, so you will find a wide variety of things on the menu, including sandwiches, wings, salads, burgers, appetizers, and pizza.
Some of their specialty pizzas include The Holy Grail which is BBQ sauce, Bacon, Chicken, Onion, Cheddar cheese, and mozzarella.
Another good one is the Gong Show which features pizza sauce, pepperoni and sausage, banana peppers, aged provolone and mozzarella.
Hail Mary’s pizzas are also a bit less expensive than the others on this list, so you can fill your gut for less, which isn’t a bad thing the way prices are nowadays.

#4 Master Pizza
Next up, we have Master Pizza, which is located on Center Ridge between Dover Center Rd and Canterbury in that plaza that everyone forgets exists.
If you are looking for a specialty pizza, then Master Pizza probably has what you are looking for. They have the largest variety of specialty pizzas on the list.
They also offer cheesy breads, wings, and salads and have gluten-free options.
Some of their more unique specialty pizzas include the Big Kahuna with garlic sauce, bacon, diced ham & pineapple. The Popeye with white sauce, spinach, tomato & artichoke hearts. Then there is also the Potato Bacon Ranch with has garlic sauce, cheddar/jack, roasted red potato, bacon, our premium provolone/mozzarella blend, finished with a spiral of ranch & parsley.
I’ve had the Potato Bacon Ranch and it was good. It’s like a better version of the Great Potato Ranch pizza that Zeppes used to make, for they went downhill fast.
Master Pizza also offers a variety of crusts, from Detroit-style to thin crust to Cleveland-style.

#3 Antonio’s Pizza
Now we are getting into the top three, the best of the best so to speak.
Antonio’s is also located on Center Ridge in a plaza that no one ever thinks about. Not the same plaza as Master Pizza though. There are lots of forgettable plazas on Center Ridge TBH.
That said, Antonio’s makes a great pie and they have a pretty large menu loaded with different types of pizza like deep dish, thin crust, Rustico pizza, as well as the classic pizza. Basically, whatever style of pizza you are looking for, they have it.
On top of the pizzas, they also have salads, pasta, paninis, chicken, and more.
Some of their notable specialty pizzas include the Portabello Philly, which is basically a Philly Cheesesteak pizza. They also have a Chicken Bacon Ranchatta and a large variety of pepperoni pizzas.
We have tried their pepperoni pizza as well as their Maui Wowii, which is their Hawaiian pizza. Both of which were solid.
Antonio’s is one of our favorites. Their menu is huge, so no matter how picky your family is, you will find something for everyone.

#2 Jet’s Pizza
I already know what you’re going to say. “But it’s a chain, grrrr!”
I don’t care if it’s a chain or not. Jett’s is good!
You gotta love that greasy Detroit-style crust that’s all crispy around the edge,
If I’m being honest, Jett’s is the pizza chain I buy the most from on this list. I wouldn’t say it’s the best, but it’s always good, and the price isn’t too outrageous.
My go to is usually the Hawaiian Pizza or the Veggie pizza. Outside of that I sometimes just go with the plain cheese that is really good for being just a cheese pizza.
They offer flavored crust on the pizza, like sesame seed, garlic, and Romano, but I never get them; I like the crust just the way it is.
Outside of pizza, they also offer salads. My wife gets the Greek Salad. They also have calzones, cheesy bread, and wings.
Sorry all you chain haters, Jetts is good.

#1 Sweet Basil
We have reached the top, Sweet Basil is the big dog right now when it comes to the best pizza in Westlake, Ohio.
They offer salads, 5 different mac and cheese dishes, calzones, lunch specials and of course, pizza.
Sweet Basil offers some really unique specialty pizzas, like the Gyro Pie with white sauce, gyro meat, feta, and tzatziki sauce. Then there is also the Screaming Demon, a traditional white pie with chicken, bacon, sliced tomatoes, and a pesto alfredo drizzle. The name is also a shoutout to the Westlake Demons,
I had the Screaming Demon, and it was the bomb. My entire family loved it. Next time, I might try the gyro pie, but I hate feta cheese. Maybe the Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo Pie instead.
Either way, it’s a win-win.
Sweet Basil is also great for the drunks from Time Warp Bar who get the munchies. The two businesses work together to keep the drunks well-fed, which is not a bad business idea.
This is also the only pizza joint in Westlake that is in an eat-in restaurant; bonus points for that.
